font-family: Adamina;\">Trowling gypsum on detached bricks against deadlines,<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Adamina;\">Pa&#8217;s sandbathed yell finds me leaping across fence to where the sound catches.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Adamina;\">until now, it takes no cement cheek of his,<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Adamina;\">kidney stone and saliva to blare my concrete noun:<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Adamina;\">a rowdy belch of alphabet plastering his pewed gums<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Adamina;\">like mouth slaves dodging the bleeding rule to consonant cluster.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Adamina;\">each row, giving a soothing round of a tongue on soaked fonts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Adamina;\">the ache stretches, as wound glorifies an hour.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Adamina;\">atop the scaffold, all muscle flex from him commands a harsh paste.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Adamina;\">they grieve. it&#8217;s obvious, on my jaded lip,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Adamina;\">the howness of skin, they filter through pores: bright napalms.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Adamina;\">at final touch, Pa lamps his way toward a small stream to rid them off his lush beards.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Adamina;\">the coarseness of it, vulgar then neon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Adamina;\">the next hour speaks us into distant contract<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Adamina;\">as dusk came, repatching every leakage of light<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Adamina;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Adamina;\">such thoughtful blindness fat-fingering nocturne on our shadows.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">memories haunt the glassless frame.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I peer at it long enough to sculpt Pa toweling the piled bricks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">each whack, a violence rummaging where beauty would later touch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">the not enough-ness of dust, surrounding us like cruel jinns.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">we sort our residence from the blind alley &#8212; ankle-red and intimate with cramp,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">as neon sky leaks raw portions of light.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Pa deadens the last bit of civilization from his walkie-talkie,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">&amp; across states, lanky bodies with collar bone &#8212; the shape<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">of a knife, peel fabrics of white in the open space<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">&amp; a terrible sweetness abound.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">their colleague, knifing the diabetes from afar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">passengers, the embittered gas attendant wielding a nozzle<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Adamina;\">&amp; therapist whose mental health is in jeopardy in this country,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Adamina;\">clings tightly to <em>ir\u00e9ke<\/em>, teething careful in honeyed places.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">the jawbreaking attempts, met by a vanishing of healthy stalk.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">there&#8217;s a wild approach to anything here that holds juicy detail:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">the fuel tanker going headlong into every teenager.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">hands, upshot high as a ready kalashnikov &#8212; gunning for crimson sky.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">the restless shard of a young lad unsettling the whirlwind,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">&amp; for the time being, I wish each legible stalk takes the form of language.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">each brandished nozzle &#8212; a verb to-be. each upshot hand,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">paraphrasing the atmosphere.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">the wound on each knifing merchant, scrawled in past perfect tense.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">their lanky bodies &#8212; a movable gerund,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">with collar bones &#8212; the shape of a plea.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">may God oblige this stunning request.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">reckon, I too pray amiss.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I&#8217;ve once questioned the smallest of sweetness in life,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">once petitioned heaven on account of candy floss.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">the easiest sadness is a boy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">of all prayer points God, grant us a unifying language.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>(Editor&#8217;s note: ir\u00e9ke means &#8216;sugarcane&#8217;
